MY SON JAKE HAS CP, HE IS 20 NOW AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH. HOWEVER I WOULD NOT CHANGE ONE THING. NO MATTER HOW HARD IT WAS. I ACCEPT THAT THIS IS ALL MEANT TO BE. JAKE HAS SUCH A HARD LIFE. HE CANNOT WALK AND HE HAS A VERY HARD TIME GETTING PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND HIM. WHATS MOST AMAZING IS THAT HE SMILES ALL THE TIME. HE IS THE BRIGHTEST, MOST AMAZING PERSON I HAVE EVER KNOWN. I JUST WANT TO HELP MOMS LIKE ME WHO ARE OUT THERE . I KNOW ALOT ABOUT ADAPTING AND OVERCOMING. ME AND JAKE ARE SO HAPPY MOST OF THE TIME BECAUSE WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO COMMUNICATE. THE FUNNY THING IS THINGS JUST KEEP GETTING HARDER FOR US BUT WE ARE HAPPY ANYWAY BECAUSE IF JAKE CAN SMILE IN SPITE OF ALL HE HAS TO DEAL WITH WHO AM I TO COMPLAIN?

That is really a tough situation, even if you sell your home and rent an apartment (depending on where you live) you will be paying that much or more for a much smaller living space that you do not own. The best advice I can give you is to research FHA and see if you can get any help. I know they work with fisrt time home buyers and actively work to keep people from having to forclose their homes. Other then that perhaps you can rent a portion or all of the home for a short time. Either rent a spare room, or see if you can temporarily move in with family or friends and rent out your home, the rental cost will pay your mortgage payments and you can save up your paychecks to help pay off the rest. Donna, there is a program online called "Drive for Free." There is a $30.00 one time fee but then you get access to tons of car/other corporations willing to give you a car to drive with their advertising on it. It's that easy! You are responsible for gas & insurance. They take care of all maintanence on vehicle. You do have to have a clean driving record for at least 12 months. I hope this info is helpful to you. Im 24 years old who just seperated from my husband of 4 years. Bought a house back in January 2006 and owe just about 91,000 on it. I have been living paycheck to paycheck and have barley have any money to pay all my bills. Im a little less then 140,000.00 in debt and that includes my car and Credit Cards.  I am normaly the one being asked for money and i always give it even thought i know i shouldnt. I never ask for anything but i am asking now. My house Payments are 900.00 a month but i get paid every two weeks and thats what i bring home on each paycheck. So you can see why i need the help so PLEASE HELP ME.

Hello, I have never in my life ever asked any one for help, in fact I have always been the one helping others. I am at my wits end now I am afraid. The last 4 years my husband and I have been a care giver first to my Father, then to my husband's Mother during both of their terminal illnesses. We used our life's saving during that time to keep up and both of us gave up good jobs to do so. My husband has a new job and struggles hard to keep a steady income to pay our finances, but afraid we can't even keep up with the basic bills lately. We are down to one car and I am most days in such pain from severe arthritis, that it is impossible for me to go back to work. We have no medical coverage so neither of us ever goes to a doctor even when we should as we could never afford it. My husband continues to apply for job within his field as Industry Field Manager, but continues to be rejected because of his age.

How do I get any help before things proceed worse than they are and we lose our home? We can't apply for any loans as we do not have any resources to ever pay them back. I can't apply for a disability to Social Security as they want loads of Medical Documentation that we can not afford..it's a catch 22..have to go to Specialists and have them declaire that the arthritis is as bad as it is, but if could afford that wouldn't be asking for help...I just don't know where to turn and so scared we going to lose everything.

M y name is texasjackier and I am so glad that I have found this site. I am so hopefull, that this is gioing to be good for me, and already I no I will good for alot of people in my place. I am 49 and I have been on disilibilty ever since 1993. Not full disibility, but after reading some of yalls stories, I guess mi problems are little but they are sure long lived. I spend about 6 or more houre a day on this computer just looking for the right help. I know just about every resource program there is, and I dont have a printer so I write everthing down. So far I can trow some sugestions to a few of the stories I have read. You see all I have ever wanter to do was help people. Now here's some of my dilemas. I am BIPOLA MANIC DEPRESENT,  I also suffer from PTS. I Live with my mother she is 73 and she does not beleave in MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS> I never have lived on my own, well I have but always in one of her houses.I have never bought my own car, always ones she has got me{without me asking} that means I dont know how to rent a house , buy a house, buy a car,to put it mildly {MAKE A SINGLE DICESSION ON MY OWN} I Hate this. I Have a Kidney disiase also. I cant get section 8 Because of my aliving arrangements. I cant even get food stamps because they consider me {SHELTER PLUS} so after so many times of trying to get full SS Bennifits, Houseing,even food, has really got me beat down mentaly, so now I just sit and read. I try to go out and look for a job but 13 years is a long time sto sit. I enrolled In a program called {aTICKET TO WORK} threw SSA, But the time I called all the places in there MAXAMUS NETWORK  there where none . I would like to go to a trade school but I only get as far as looking for them on the web. I am so scared to go to one and apply.Thats what happens when you stop taking meds,.I guess I am waiting for Mom or someone to do it for me. And I hate myself for that. I cant get my own place because im lost and I failed the first time I tried.I am not retarded just Mental and I dont KNOW where to start. I know there so many programs out there but for some reason all I can do i PREY, Hope, and dream. I know there is noone out there thats going to do it for me. I cant even go to my med. Doctor any more because I {HAVE PANIC ATTACTS WHEN I PULL IN THE PARKING LOT} so now im sold turky on meds too. I hate being a waist of space.I no I have a lot to give to others in my plase but I am scared. Need Help if any one got any ideals.
